Morningtide she/her
I love stories about wings! The first one just invokes such a sense of peace and heartache. I feel that so strongly. The second one is so compelling! I love the idea!
Medium he/they
This is one I'd like to preface with a little thing: The song I wrote this too is called Horizon, and it's by Dear Gravity. It came on while I was listening to a youtube chill ambience playlist. And I immediately got the idea for this poem, clear as day. I don't know why, I don't know how, but the visuals behind this poem were the most powerful, clear, beautiful visuals I've ever experienced, with any of my scenes. Writing this felt real. It felt true. It felt like it was something that could happen. I'm not entirely sure why, I'm not entirely sure how, but this poem speaks to me more so than most others that I've written. Out of all 105 scenes, and everything else that I've written; This singular poem speaks to my soul and my heart the most. I am so immensely proud of it, and I hope with every fiber of my being that it somehow comes true to some extent. And you all know with who, and about who. Please enjoy, Scene #105: New Horizon Spoiler Stars. Burning softly in the night, Radiating, a small beacon, a pinprick, of light and hope in the void. So vast, yet so small to us. So beautiful, powerful, yet small, and diminutive. With breath fogging the glass, and streaks of water down the window, You gaze up. Up through the rain, through a gap in the clouds, Where a small star, Shines from on high. It’s late. It’s so late. But I don’t feel tired. Not when I look at you. Not when you smile. Not after tonight. I will never feel tired after tonight. That small star, high up in the sky, It shines. Just like you. And just like the diamond on your finger. The diamond on your finger on your hand, clenched in a fist as you sleep in the passenger seat. Despite the hour, the rain, the cold, the darkness around us. It feels bright. It feels warm. It feels safe. It feels happy. All my life I’ve yearned for this feeling, And to finally achieve it, To achieve it in tandem with you, It’s the most beautiful thing I can imagine. More so. The diamond that you wear signifies so much more; It’s so much more than a pretty gem, an ornamented ring. It’s a promise. A statement. A claim. A promise of love. A statement of belonging. A claim of beauty, and wonder, and majesty and radiance. All things that entail what you are, and what I see in you. And while you sleep, in the passenger seat, the rain beating softly against the windshield, I gaze. At the star. At you. And I smile. I smile because of what I’ve gained tonight. The beauty of it all. The new horizon, The one I’ll ride towards forever, With you.
S. Stormy she/her
Awww, that's sooo sweet! I love it! It reminds me of Sam from LotR. Not quite the same concept, but the mention of the star reminds me of this: “There, peeping among the cloud-wrack above a dark tor high up in the mountains, Sam saw a white star twinkle for a while. The beauty of it smote his heart, as he looked up out of the forsaken land, and hope returned to him. For like a shaft, clear and cold, the thought pierced him that in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach.”

Medium he/they
Scene #107: Gone. Spoiler “Oh,” Was all Laya said. Even while a curse crawled up her arm. “Um,” She said, her voice beginning to shake. She looked around as her arm was encased in rock, at her friends. “Guys,” She said, struggling to keep it together, “I… I don’t know if you’ll see me after this. Um… take care of yourself, take care of whoever you can. For… for me.” The curse spread farther up, covering her neck and upper torso, then spreading downwards. “I’m sorr-'' She started, but the curse overtook her mouth. She looked one last time at her love, Melissa, before the curse covered the rest of her face. It slowly spread downward, until there was just a statue of what had once been the bright, cheery form of Laya. Her friends didn’t move. They couldn’t move. They could barely breathe. Melissa stared, mouth agape, waiting for Laya to appear somewhere, to pop out with a laugh. The youngest of their party, little Robin, who still didn’t understand how all this worked, started calling her name, thinking she had hidden somewhere; he thought it was a game. Melissa couldn’t move. Ryan fell to his knees, doubling over, and began to cry. Melissa finally moved, but it was a stumble backwards; she couldn’t see. She couldn’t breathe. Laya… gone? No. It was impossible. Melissa blinked, praying that when she opened her eyes, Laya would be there, whole. She gasped, her breathing returned. But now it was too fast, too hard. She still couldn’t see. She began to cry, grabbing her head with her hands. Little Robin, poor thing, finally started to understand what was happening, and turned. “Where’d she go?” He asked, so innocently. “She’s…” Emilia started, “She’s gone.” “Will she be coming back?” Robin asked. “I… I don’t think so,” Emilia said, “I don’t know.” Robin began to cry, and Emilia rushed forward, grabbing the little child in her arms, holding him close as he cried for reasons he did not understand, reasons everyone else only barely understood. Melissa’s vision cleared, and she looked straight at the stone form in front of them. Laya. Covered in stone. How… How did this happen? The statue began to glow. Melissa started, crawling over to it. Then, the statue began slowly disintegrating into small orbs of light, which floated up. “No, no, no,” Melissa muttered, grasping at the orbs, which deftly dodged her grasps. “No!” She shouted, as the last of the orbs floated upwards. She sat, staring upwards. Ryan was on the ground, crying. Emilia was holding Robin, both of them crying. The only one still standing was Victoria, who simply stared up, still in shock. Melissa began crying. She was gone. Two months together, happy, and now… nothing. She felt empty. Empty, yet full of grief. Grief, and sadness, and anger, and guilt. Melissa should have been there. It should have been her. How could she have let this happen? She punched the ground, the hard stone beneath herself, crying. How? How could she have allowed this? “Damn you,” She muttered, “Always getting yourself in trouble. Now look where it got you.” Melissa sagged, crying in earnest now. Victoria slowly walked over, then knelt, taking Melissa into her arms. Melissa finally fully broke down then, pressing her face into Victoria’s shirt, screaming. Victoria stared up, tears silently flowing down. What… What happened now?

Medium he/they
Scene #108: Love/Turning Out Spoiler Love. Something that transcends a word and a feeling. Something of supernatural power, something that is held by both mortals and immortals. Something that binds. Something that breaks. Something that grows. Something that shrinks. Something that is powerful. Something that is everywhere. Love is something we are both capable and incapable of truly perceiving. Love is something that somehow is able to be felt by us, and it’s something that does so much, to so many, for so many. Love does not come easily. Love should not come easily. You should have to work for love. You should have to work to feel this. If you don’t work for it, then it will be fake. A facade. A mask. Love should be true. Love should be encompassing. Love should be penetrating. Love should be reckless. Love should be beautiful. You can’t wait for it. You can’t wait for it to turn out like you want. I’m a little kid. And so are you. Don’t you go and grow up before I do. I’m a little kid. With so much doubt. Do you wanna be there to see how I Turn Out? I’m a little kid. And so are you. Let’s not rush this. Let’s grow up together. Let’s grow together. I hope you stick around. We’re gonna figure it out. Cause I’m still turning out

Medium he/they
Scene #109: Rain Spoiler You take a step outside, and it’s like you’ve entered a different world. You pass through the portal of your door, and the crisp, wet breeze runs through your hair. You step into the street, and the drizzle comes down in gentle swirls, mixing with the wind. You slide your foot across the damp ground, and your breath comes out in puffs of fog. Rain. A hand, gentle and delicate, slips softly into yours. And you are pulled close, into a dance. A dance amongst the raindrops. A twirl amongst the cold. A kiss, amidst the soft dampness of the world. It muffles everything, the rain, leaving only you and them. Only you. Only them. To twirl in the rain. To dance with the breeze. To hold and be held, on this cold, damp day. It is a day filled with little things. No troubles today. No stresses. No worries. Just you, and just them. Amidst the rain, amidst the breeze, amidst the cold, being held in their arms, your head tucked gently under their chin, as a bird tucks its lover under its wing. Wonderful, wonderful to dance in the rain with them. Wonderful, wonderful to kiss them under the gray. Wonderful, wonderful to hold them in the breeze.
