Several alarms were going off, and panicked squawks came from the burning and ruined portions. The wounds across his body healed, thanks to Stormlight and a few other abilities. Bookwyrm held the severed foot of a jackalope in his hand. With a short spell, the talisman vanished in a flash of light. The energy from the spell cured Bookwyrm of his curse. "That feels much better," he said as he removed his Chromium metalminds. He then created a portal that would take him back to the Clinic. Better to creep away for now and strike when nobody expects it... They found each other at just the right time, he thought to himself. They've been able to support each other through the grief of losing Wizard. Bookwyrm paused. And yet you're the one who's strangely obsessed with bringing him back, part of him said. Why can't you let go? Why aren't you moving on in the way they're able to? Calano ducks and sweeps his legs at Emma's. She falls flat on her back, and Calano steps over her, leveling the katana at her throat. "Wanna run that by me again?"
