Bookwyrm walks over and picks up the circlet. He attempts to activate it by placing it on his head.

I wonder what they're up to back in the clinic, he wondered.

Oh...it's this thing....I never was able to master this.

Bookwyrm placed his hand on the bark of the tree and, instead of trying to shape it, just tried to sense it.

The bark responded, molding around his hand, imprinting it. Veins of blue pulse through the tree and the tree glows with light. A soft purring eminates and a hidden door opens.

Indeed. The Scourge plagued this land for many centuries. It was not until recently that the Scourge was vanguished. Vanguished by a very special group of guerilla fighters. You may know them, I believe.

Emma squeezes Calano's hand as she remembers time spent with her parents, their laughter. How they would play with her and Wizard, the lessons they learned at their knees. A thought enters her mind and worms it's way in and she whispers "What if this is all a lie?"

Calano immediately turns to look her in the eyes, grabbing her other hand.

"It wasn't. I looked into this world many times over the course of my being the head of the clinic. It was all true. I watched the Scourge many times. The Father is right, it was only recently defeated, I just haven't looked into this world for so long, I did not know."

He presses a hand against the tree.

"Father, do you know where our parents are?"

Far from here, Son of Sky. Far, far from here. But a man and woman of you're talents, the both of you should be able to easily find them.

Calano looks back at Emma. "If there's even the slightest chance I can see my parents, and you can see my parents, I'm taking that chance. No matter the cost."

i don't see this as an end, definitely not, but in terms of Clinic Lore, this is mmmm about the end of season 3.

Allow me to recap

Season 1: Meeting everyone, basic character/worldbuilding, start of the basement era.

Season 2: End of basement era, the chicken invasion.

Season 3: Calano/Emma/Wizard lore, rediscovering the past, and finding out that their parents are still alive and the Scourge is over.

That seems like a good enough recap. Eventually, every page will be summarized on the Explaining ICMBAAOM thread, but for now...

On to season 4!!
