S. Stormy she/her
I know, I know. This has been done before. I'm sure of it. I just can't find one of them! So here we go. I was randomly reading a Taravangian interlude, and realized I was imagining Erick Avari's voice for Taravangian. He plays Nicodemus in The Chosen and other things I'm sure, but I don't know what they are. I feel like he's a good enough actor, and I feel like he could pull off Taravangian's evil craftiness, even though he plays a completely different type of character in The Chosen. Also Gal Gadot as Jasnah, I think. (apparently me as Sazed as well) Tom Hiddleston as Wit, and it sounds crazy(to me it did then I realized it could work), but Elijah Wood as Szeth! My ideas. EDIT I wonder, whenever they do the SA tv show, how will Kaladin's brands work? How disfiguring will they be, and will the be makeup or CG? I doubt they would use CGI, but it generally depends on what’s cheaper. Both could achieve a relatively similar result, but I think makeup would just be cheaper and faster to do. The branding scene would obviously be CGI, or at least be more CGI than not, as would the tattooing and healing scenes for obvious reasons. Hopefully this rant wasn't too long. Olmund
I think those are all solid choices, and Gal Gadot would probably appreciate being able to play a more erudite character -- but I think Brandon might push for more East Asian casting for the Alethi. Ken Watanabe as Dalinar and Michelle Yeoh as Navani could be cool.
SymphonianBookworm she/her
I support all of these. I looked up Tom Hiddleston and my thought process was: Wait. That’s Loki. How is this not Wit already?

BinarySecond
I was expecting a thread based on Soulcasting for some reason. But I'll join in regardless I want Charles Dance, for obvious reasons. Make him Sadeas? I don't really mind as long as he's in it. Maybe Christian Bale as Zahel.

stonehand
In my re-reads I can only picture Alan Rickman as Sadeus and my heart breaks every time. Ken Watanabe is an excellent choice for Dalinar, but I also think Dave Bautista would be great in that role. I've often suspected he has far better acting chops than he's been given the chance to show us. Oscar Issacs as Amaram. TBH I'd really love to see some really amazing no-names cast as Shallan, Adolin, Kaladin, Lift, all the youngerish characters and come out the gate with incredible performances that make there careers, like Starwars did with John Boyega and Daisy Ridley. Tom Hiddleston is a great choice for Wit, but I can also see Matt Smith or David Tenant nailing that role. As for Taravangian, Erick Avari would be amazing indeed but I cant help but imagine Ian McKellan in my head

I know Brandon namedropped him for the Dalinar role, though he was mainly talking about physique. As for Ian McKellen, I think he'd have been perfect as Taravangian if the series had been started 10-15 years ago. Now, I worry that we won't be seeing Sir Ian much longer.

The Unknown Order he/him
Unfortunately he's blind, but I think a slightly older Pete Gustin (he's a voice actor and has a YouTube channel called Blind Surfer Pete Gustin) would make a great Teft, visually and audibly.
S. Stormy she/her
Also maybe Zendaya as Syl. Except not really. I think of it because Syl's interlude symbol looks a lot like Zendaya to me.
