This society is for everyone who has more hobbies than their free time allows for! Feel free to share about your favorite hobbies, and discuss various successes and failures you may have had in them.

Wait wait wait define free time. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of such a thing.

My hobbies tend to come and go cyclically, so I'll spend a couple weeks on one thing, then move on to the next.  Sewing, drawing, piano/composition, and so on.  Occasionally, I'll have a month long recurrence of my oldest interests: vulcanology and astronomy, where I'll find whatever books I can on those subjects, and tear through them.

Drawing is probably the most difficult, because it's the hardest for me to practice.  But Im' working on it, so my proportions are getting better.

I think I fit, but depends on what you call a hobby, because you could argue that reading isn't a hobby, and more something you do with your free time. other than reading, I do the following:

1. Run Cross country. There's 3-4 hours of my day gone, and it's only 6 am!

2. Attend Church activities/meetings. at least twice a week, I spend an hour or 2 doing stuff with my young men's group.

3. Participate in my school's stage crew. this applies more during the school year, when XC is also after school. I either run, or spend literal hours trying to figure out how to not split my STORMING 2 BY 4!

4. do my Homework? you could argue that this doesn't truly apply to me, since it implies I do my homework which I kinda don't, but to be fair, I do occasionally do my homework in my free time. I haven't failed a class yet

5. Make money at work. I pick up as many shifts as possible, so I spend a good amount of time working at a local pizza place.

6. go to parties. If I don't have any of the above, it's probably because I got it all off to hang out with friends.

With the time in between, i'm either prepping for the next one or nose deep in a novel. I also find the time to occasionally shower, which is the real miracle, alongside the fact that I have technically passed all my classes.

I am definitely here more during the middle of the school year.

I help out at my school library, I go rock climbing, I do some child care, one of our 4 student councils, robotics and I am hoping to do even more next year in September. I hope to get into the higher level in my rock climbing team, I hope to join the more prestigious student council in my school and I also want to join several other activities.

EHHH... I may be here now. I do tennis, and want to get better, I have tutoring, I now have picked up about 12 hrs a week in work. Add on assignments, exams, homework of a Grade 12, and helping family. Yeah, it got a lot more overwhelming recently

Oh and add cadets on a Monday. :)

If you need more hobbies, join Cross Country!!!! It’s legitimately super fun and I’ve never met a XC team that wasn’t super cool and fun to run with

I have the same as many of you.

1. Drawing (I have children's book looking for publication right now)

2. Trombone (I feel bad about this one, haven't played in years)

3. Sewing (mostly mending nowadays)

4. Video games (not as much as I once did, but still more than I probably should)

5. D&D type games (haven't found people to consistently play with)

6. Writing (no hope of publication, it's just for me)

This list is not comprehensive but add it to a wife, 4 kids, full time job, and a parrot and you've got a lot to do and no time to do it.
