Slowly, Aventine pushed herself into a sitting position. She pushed up one of her sleeves slowly and began to unravel the bandage around her arm. From elbow to shoulder (where the burns had been), she was scarred, but... at least she could move without agonizing pain now.

She also saw the strange floating points in the general shape of a person. They spoke, apparently to Gem. "Ah, look! She's getting up."
