After a bit, Konrad decides he needs an actual weapon. He slowly sharpens a rock into a point, then cuts down a small vine hanging from a nearby tree. Konrad fastens the rock to the point of his stick, and continues through the jungle with his new spear.

(Astra took no note of her at the time)

As she walked with @The Stormfather she paused again, jerkily. For a moment, she stayed there, sensing the jungle. Someone was missing.

"Dougella, darling?" Astra looked about, with an air of distraught. "It seems we have lost someone already."

She spun back to Mark.

"Come, let us trace our steps. There is danger in the center, yes, but there is another type of danger in isolation. I think it'll be mighty fine over there, dear."

Astra began to walk back, in the direction they came from, where they had lost Dougella.

"We need to find her. Our numbers are the only thing keeping us safe, I think."

Mark follows Astra back.

@Spark of Hope

Marewill's tin brought to her attention the slight sounds of someone shifting in the foliage. They weren't travelling, just staying there.

If she was close enough to see, she'd notice Tinker: a tall young man, maybe 18 or 19, with pale skin and messy brown hair sitting on the forest floor. He gazed around warily, seemingly conflicted.

They aren't trying to force us back to the building with the of resources, right? He thought to himself. That's kind of messed up...turning it into a bloodbath just so some of them can get actual supplies.

He debated waiting it out, looking for useful tools in the jungle, or sneaking back to try and get whatever was left. Assuming anything was left. Even if there had been Aether spores in the building, it wasn't like he was the only one who could put them to use...

Are you forcing us to go to the casino, or is Tinker going to eventually find stuff if he keeps going?

Émeric comes through the doors, straightening his suit and gloves. He snaps at Gavin as he walks past to the board. “Que fais-tu ici, à te mêler?” He huffs and walks up the board, he strategically moves between the buttons. He clicks from each tribute to the next, watching them through the cameras. “Someone explain to me shwhy there are so many still a-live? Swee can’t have a vi-ctor if none are dead.” His French accent is thick when he speaks, he looks over at the two. “SWhat is the death rate?”

She slinked down low, knife poised and ready.

She has a knife?!

Tinker noticed movement out of the corner of his eye and scrambled to his feet. He grabbed one of the heavy rocks he'd found earlier and threw it as hard as he could at Marewill's head. He clutched another rock, sharp and roughly arrowhead shaped, in his other hand.

She dodged it and stood up, making the knife visible. "You could have run. That would have made this more interesting, you know."

Connor awakens from his slumber extremely dazed and begins stumbling away from the center “Eurgh… my head hurts”

Spoiler

Guys I’m really sorry I wasn’t here for this, I forgot my iPad at school yesterday so I couldn’t get on, and even during school I couldn’t get on because I had so much work to do before finals :(

I still might run.

He stayed silent, wary. He clutched another rock, ready to throw, and was also ready to stab with his sharpened stone. At the same time, he scanned the surrounding jungle, looking for an easy path out.

Why aren't there any world-cursed supplies? Where the heck did she get that knife?

"Where'd you get that knife?" he eventually asked, a tremble in his voice.

"The building at the center. All I had to do was talk to the guy behind the desk. Didn't even have to give him anything. Just told him what I need."

Tinker squinted at her.

"...What?"

"Really quite simple. Just tell him what you need." She shrugged. "This wouldn't be a fair kill. I'd be willing to even let you go get your own stuff."

Jaksyn ran through the woods, when suddenly he started storing Fortune. Not a ton, but he noticed it draining a bit, and a few more branches whacked him in the face than normal. If I just got a bit more…

The Gambler jumps over roots, managing to dodge every branch in his path. It seems like he can tell Jaksyn is storing fortune, he's started speeding up.

"Precisely as expected."

Rekker narrows his eyes, but is currently distracted by the other conversation.

I'll have to talk to Piph about him later.

Alderic sighs. Internally, of course. Couldn't show weakness, but... my goodness why couldn't any of them carry a conversation?

Rekker doesn't take his eyes off of the screen, curiously watching a chase through the forest.

"Death rate is none. Prediction: Subjects will not engage in deadly activities until forced to do so," he replies absently.

"How do we force them." Alderic says, businessman-like. "What would you predict would work best."

Tinker narrowed his eyes in suspicion.

"Somehow I doubt that you're actually going to let me go. Or that you're actually telling the truth."

"Perhaps a storm? A storm would force subjects together, then we can pressure them to do what they are meant to do."

Alderic rubs his beard. "Yes... yes a storm will work." He says, face still serious. He pulls out a small key, using it to open a cover on a button.

Rekker writes.

Subject deaths wanted. Sending storm to form bonds. Prediction: Death by Betrayal.

"Your calculations are accurate. you must cause discord and strife. It is the only way" a male, timbre voice rings out. and out walks a bald man, with the symbol of a truthwatcher on his forehead tattooed on him. "I am Durie, and great god Ryn has asked me to be your guide"
