Nah, I’m sitting next to the casino

"Hi! Are you sure this will protect us enough?" He looked skeptically at the sheer walls.

“I think so? I don’t think it’s gonna be coming from the west.”

My iPad is almost dead, so we’ll say Connor lies down and takes a short nap (he sleeps light)

ARENA

In the east, a large, dark stormwall forms, beginning to make it's way across the land. It pulls up boulders and flings them about, devastating the forest. Anyone in the open will be picked up and thrown about like a rag doll in a blender.

He immidiately runs back to the casino, hiding behind it as he tries to survive.

Kresh shifts his position in the jungle so that the Casino. He could see others standing out in the open, and he hoped they wouldn’t see him. He knew this storm was invested. Hopefully, it would restore his strength.

Is the Casino close enough to the jungle to provide shelter?

Quelkin snaped his head up as he heard a crack of thunder split the air. "Storm it" he muttered as he realized he was too deep in the jungle to get back to the casino in time. He hurriedly runs through the forest trying to find a cave or pit or anything that would protect him from the storm. Eventually he hunkered down behind a particularly large tree and tied himself around it with a few thick vines.

Rusts... She ran back towards the center and away from Tinker

@The Bookwyrm

Tinker, noticing the approaching stormwall, turned and fled in the same direction, but trying to put some distance between them.

What in the ever loving moons are they thinking?

Her lungs stung, more so from the tin. She looked back at Tinker. "Truce for now?!" she yelled.

Tinker looked surprised at the offer.

"Sure!" he yelled back, his legs burning. He nearly tripped over a root and stumbled, then continued running forward.

"Look for something in the ground to hide in! Cave, hole, just something out of the open!" She flinched as lightning struck somewhere to their right. She put her hand over her right ear, which had begun to ring.

Tinker nodded, then noticed a large tree in the distance, with a hollow in it's roots.

"Would that work?" he yelled, pointing.

"Huh?" She had no clue what he said, but followed his pointing and saw the hollow. She nodded and started running towards it.

Émeric watches the cameras intently for a moment. He then presses a button and a small microphone raises. He clicks through the tributes cameras and finds one he likes. He presses a button and a little microphone on their right shoulder dings.
@The Bookwyrm

A French accented voice comes over the microphone by their ear. “Why hello…” there’s ruffling of papers to find their information. “Tinker. My name is Émeric Eugene Moreau. I think I may be of service.” It clicks, waiting for their response as they run.

Tinker jumped, startled by the sudden voice. He slowed his pace slightly despite the freezing rain that was beginning to fall.

"What do you mean?" he asked, warily.

She looked back, saw him slow, and grabbed his wrist. She pulled him into the hollow, keeping her right hand over that ear.

His thick French accent buzzes over the microphone. “What do I mean?” You almost hear a small giggle. “I am a gracious man, a fun one at that. Give me a show, give me some silly entertainment and credit me for it… and you’ll get exactly what you need.” It clicks silent for a second and then buzzes again. “I don’t require blood… just your enthusiasm.”

Tinker jumped at that, too. He ducked into the hollow after Marewill.

"I still don't understand," he whispered, probably loud enough that Marewill could hear.

Since her left side was nearer to him, she could. "What don't you understand? The truce?" she asked.

"Wait, storm wall goes east to west or something.... we should be fine"

"Alright, if you think so." Sharp plopped down in the grass by the wall, hopefully the wind wouldn't throw them out from behind it.

"Anyways, back to what I was saying--You shouldn't have come! It's way too dangerous . . ." He tried not to think about how this would probably end.

He chuckles. “Make me laugh. Do something crazy… adventurous… risky… maybe risqué…” he giggles. “Start a believable story of our crowd… something to keep them interested in wanting to keep you alive? Something says the little lady next to you wouldn’t mind living for a little longer as well hmm?”

"The rules are probably waaay tighter now." He sighed. "This Game is meant to be bigger and more complicated than all the past ones . . . I highly doubt you could get out by just playing dead. Not to mention when my (several greats) Uncle got out and they discovered he was alive, they threw him in prison. Who's to say now a days they won't just kill you?"
