"Oh."

Tinker regarded the ferret again.

"He looks pretty normal to me."

“He’s radiating heat, but he doesn’t seem hostile.” Yet.

Quietly, she asked, “Why are you here, Tinker?”

Instincts from years on the streets kick in as Quelkin jumps back and starts to circle around his opponent, testing him with quick jabs to the left and right. Lets hope this doesn't turn hand to hand Quelkin thinks as he continues to circle his opponent. He knew how to fight hand to hand but he was much more experienced in fighting with quarterstaff. If only I had some pewter he thought.

@Lord Spirit

Kresh easily deflects his jabs and makes a swing at his opponents legs. the stick was a bit unwieldy, but he would make the best of his situation. He had trained in several forms of combat, but he wasn't used to his lack of power.

FTR, Merp is ferret from the cytoverse games. He's friendly towards tributes and is pretty much the most wholesome thing thats come out of these games

Nice! She’s still not fully trusting it though

"For my family. I grew up in poverty, in a small town along the far border of the nation. I have four siblings; an older sister, then two younger sisters and a younger brother. My older sister is married, now, and is expecting a child of her own.

"I....I had a twin sister once, too. She died when we were ten. Disease. If the central government had cared enough to help the outer districts, she would have gotten help.

"We've survived off the work of our own hands - and the spores - for years now. But...we never know when the next disaster is coming. So I came to try and give them a chance at prosperity."

She looked down. “I’m… I’m sorry you might not get to see your niece.”

Tinker shrugged. "I knew the stakes when I joined. They're strong; they'll live without me if they need to."

He tried to hide the emotion in his voice as he spoke.

Damn you, Emeric...

Tinker sat silently for a moment.

Then he stood up. "I'll be right back."

A minute later, he came and sat back down, his hands full of mud from a nearby creek. He plopped it next to the fire to dry.

Merp had fallen asleep in the blanket, cuddling close to her. He was actually neither of those things but you wouldn't know that... you would never expect an immortal, world hopping, teleporting ferret. Never.

"I need clay to make spore weaponry. Grenades, specifically."

After he made sure the mud - clay - was drying well, he tore off the lower part of his left sleeve and began ripping it into small strips of fabric.

"These will be the fuses," he explained. "You have one end inside a clay ball of spores, the other outside. If you soak the outer end, the water will flow through the cloth and into the spores, activating them."

The Gambler slid back, just slightly, away from the table. He slides three chips to the center of the table, each embossed with a silver goblet of glowing spheres.

"Let's give it a whirl, hm?" Astra smiled.

It was all about confidence. Showmanship.

Always.

Don’t want to sleep… but under the blanket and with Merp making heat, it was hard to resist that pull

Tinker took note. "You really should sleep. If you are going to kill people."

“I want to preserve my tin…” But even that argument sounded weak.

Tinker wrinkled his nose. "I wouldn't do that."

He sat for a moment. "I don't really know what to do in this situation. I'm not an allomancer."

“I have no interest in being betrayed by someone I don’t trust.” Kresh responds coldly.

"Why don't you trust me?" Mark asks. "Is it because I came from the casino? Do you have a problem with gambling? If so, then that's no reason not to trust me. I didn't know it was a casino, and I left soon after I went in. I just needed to warm up a bit." (Still completely lying.) "Hey, let me try and prove it to you. I have a trick that my great-great-great-great-great-great-uncle pulled when he was put in the games. His name was Arc."

Mark turns around, searching for a hidden camera. "Any of the Gamemakers watching this? If so, tell me. I'd like to have a little chat." He says the final word with extreme derision. " One of you in particular."

Covering her non-damaged ear and squeezing her eyes shut, she burned off all of the tin she had left. “We need that bag of supplies back…” she muttered. She pulled the blanket up closer to her neck and started trying to sleep.

"Yeah..."

Or we could get more supplies.

He turned to his shoulder mic. "Any sponsors willing to get us a spore expert's kit, some tin, and supplies?" Or have your twisted demands not been satisfied yet?

Before she actually fell asleep, she pulled out the two lollipops and looked at them. After a moment, she touched her mouth to the wrappers and kissed them.

She moved her head to look at Tinker. She smiled a bit, then closed her eyes and slept.

GM HQ

Rekker watches the ferret closely on a screen.

Unkown variable introduced. Cause unknown. Purp-

"Rek, it looks like one of the Tributes is trying to talk to us..."

"Hmm?" Rekker looks over absentmindedly at his sister to see her pressing a button. "Wait, don't pre-"

In the Arena

A small holographic screen appears before Mark, and you can see some chairs and a mostly blank wall. Nobody is on the screen.
