Gavin hesitated. “I-I. I s-s-see c-c-colors.” The best lies are mostly truth… “I-I s-see p-p-p-paints. Y-y-you h-h-have t-to m-mix th-th-th-them j-j-just r-r-r-r-right.” He smiled at Emeric. “E-e-et p-puis i-i-ils s-s-s-seront b-beaux.”

He smiles back slightly and rubs his hair with his hand playfully. “You are quite right. Now do you have any ideas I could put into play that may boost their ‘blossoming love’ Mr. Creative?”

it’s stupid to think that such children wouldn’t want happiness even if they’ve gone to die, if I can provide just a few with temporary joy then maybe some will leave with lasting happiness

Quelkin rushes through the jungle with an energy and power that continually renewed itself. For now only the fifth time in his life he felt truly alive. "Your right Nacho", he muttered, "This feels way better then pewter. I just wished that it lasted forever... and came with less wind and rain." Quelkin stops as he nears a large tree with big roots. He sees the form a person laying down and another one siting up among the roots. "Storms, how are they sleeping in this weather?" he asks Nacho. "Maybe their pretending to sleep so that someone comes in and tries to kill them. But when they get close they'll pull out a pistol... and then your gone", Nacho said. "I really doubt she has a pistol" Quelkin replied. But he proceeded forward with caution. His instincts from years on the streets kicked in as he crawled over toward the tree. He thought he saw a pack and some kind of red cloth  lying between the two people. "You now", Nacho remarked, "you probably lost your element of surprise when you decided to suck in stormlight and are now glowing during a dark storm." "You're probably right", Quelkin responds, "Better get this done before they notice me". Quelkin stands up and hefts his quarterstaff and starts to run the remaining distance between him and the two figures.

Ok. Time for some retroactive posting!

Imminently after showing up in the area, Tondon pats himself down for iron. "Rust rust rust rust rust! What am I doing?! Why did I think this is a good idea?" He's dizzy from lack of iron sight, and goes into the jungle to try to find a loot box. I don't know if he finds one or not.  @Edema Rue (who I think is currently on) & other GMs

If he finds any iron or duralumin, he'll be doing better, but regardless, he needs a place to hide and sleep. If he can find duralumin, he'll be storing it to try to get an alliance by tapping in the future. (Again, I don't know if he's successful in finding a hiding spot)

I don't know how much warning there is for the highstorm, but he'll take cover. If he can't find it, I'd say he's almost certainly dead, unless he has enough iron for dodging and 360* vision to escape those boulders.

Well, it'd be nice if a GM could tell me how I'm doing. Then I'll make another, present time post.

Konrad saw the storm fast approaching. I wonder, he thought.

"Hey, Ede, d'ya think that's a highstorm?" he asked. "I could really do with some Stormlight."

Yes, Konrad, I believe that storm is highly Invested.

"Okay, great, I'm going there." Konrad set off towards the nearby highstorm. Before long, the stormwall was just a little ways off. When it was one hundred feet away, Konrad started moving backwards and inhaled sharply. The stormlight filled his body, leaving him invigorated.

Be careful, master!

Konrad smiled, and fell up through the air with the strength of a full lashing. Once he had cleared the trees, Konrad started flying back towards the center of the arena, towards the cornucopia, being careful to not get too far ahead of the storm that he would lose his Stormlight and fall, but not staying too close that he was hit by debris. One time, the stormwall did draw near and he was hit by a log, but Konrad recovered before hitting the ground and continued towards the cornucopia.

Dougella, HG Arena, Casino

"What? How can you not have any chromium!" Dougella screeches, her voice echoing off the walls of the building. Fury passing through her in a flash, but leaving just as quickly. "Look, I need chromium" she says, deceptively calm. Dangerously calm. "I need some luck" she turns on her heel, looking around the area. "Why are there all the card games?"

Also, if you need to talk out of character, you can do it in quote boxes, like this.

Corin meets her eyes calmly. “We’ll have chromium at a later date, but we are currently…ah…out of stock.” He glances at the gambler in the corner. “Should you wish to make a bet, you may, but I advise against it.”

Dougella glances at the man in the corner, a ratty old person, who looked drunk. Is he worth the challenge? she questions herself Of course, everything is worth the game, the pitting of wills against each other, the struggle of life, and the survival of the fittest. She saunters over to the man, grabbing a seat and sitting opposite him, smiling, drinking in the Casino, the place that she belonged, and loved. She sits there smiling, waiting for the other man to make a move. Lets see what you have got old man

Stop touching me, Gavin thought. His heart pounded far too quickly. Don’t touch me don’t touch me don’t—

He looks at Gavin's eyes and saw panic, the father in him grew a sense of fear. He pulls his hand off of him gently. He stands up and looks at him softly. His voice is quiet.

"Qu'est-ce qui ne va pas... qu'est-ce que j'ai fait..." He speaks softly, nothing commanding or demanding in his tone.

Dougella stares back at the man. Rude she sits there in shock, but shakes herself out of it. What did you expect from the Hunger Games? Her consciousness goads her, almost laughing in her own head. Oh be quite, she snaps back at it. "I want some chromium" she says, modulating her voice, making it sound older, and like the man that sat in front of her, she found that it normally unnerved people.

Tondon shelters in a small hollow facing the opposite side of the storm. He keeps saying Scadrial curses under his breath. "Rust! What is going on?!" It's hot enough that he's quite thirsty. Not knowing anything about highstorms, he tries to drink the stormwater. He gags on the metallic taste, then his eyes widen. "Thank the Survivor! Finally... Metal!"

Quote

Maybe a little meta-gamy, but he would need water, and could probably end up doing this. The cremwater is noticeably metallic, so it might have iron.

If it does, Tondon drinks it, then burns iron to pull the metal to himself, trying to collect as much as possible. He sits up straighter and feels more sure of himself.

If it has duralumin in it, he'll take his jumpsuit and try to strain the metal out to carry around. He'll also be kinda confused.

It can have some iron in it, but not enough to do anything until he’s had a lot.

Dougella blanches silently. Who is this undignified slob she mentally berates him. "I have some breaths I could offer, or some memories, if you want them" she smiles, one that showed all of her teeth. Lets get this over with so I can get away from him

When Mark drank some water from the highstorm did he get any brass?

Quote

No problem if this is too meta-gamey. I don't need brass right now, just want to know if its a possibility. If I got brass, would I be able to use it, or is my investiture blocked?

Jaksyn looked around. It was pitch black, and he could hear the sound of heavy rain. His ankle hurt, he’d probably sprained it in the fall. All he could do now was store Fortune, and pray he wouldn’t tap it on accident.

The Gambler touches Dougella, and all of her breaths immediately come out, materializing as little chips, each worth 50 breaths.

"One game of breakneck."

Basically: You're gonna roll 3 six-sided dice and I'm gonna do the same and we bet on the results, then reveal them to each other. That work for you or do you want to do it differently?

Same rules as above. Because I don't want to actually follow the rules of breakneck, that's hard.

"Sounds good old man" She mutters eyeing off the chips that contained her breaths. How can I cheat this, and use my will... no not possible, this is luck, dammit, something I do not have. She grabs the dice, feeling them for weights, None, good, she rolls
