There doesn’t seem to be a set pattern unless Harmony wills it during pivotal moments. I was thinking about highstorms and how it and the mists are magic influenced weather phenomena. High storms can be predicted by a series of math equations and algorithms. Given that information do you think it’s likely that given enough time a scadrian could study the mists and learn to predict when they will happen similar to storm wardens? Wadders Posted July 8 Report Share Posted July 8 They are both controlled at least to an extent by an intelligence which makes them tricky to predict. The highstorms by the stormfather and the mists by harmony. I think harmony uses the mists directly to influence events a bit (seems a bit of a coincidence that the mists are present whenever wax has to do something especially important). The stormfather can and has done the similar in the past but I think his nature makes that an exception. As that is the case i think it will be harder for any pattern in the mists to be detected.
