I'll trust you, then. You haven't steered me wrong yet....

Also, browsing Facebook be like:

CHILDHOOD FRIEND: I love my husband and kid and life in North Dakota!

HIGH SCHOOL CRUSH: I'm a father now! Look at my adorable baby!

HIGH SCHOOL FRIEND: No longer on active duty for the US Navy, I have decided to protect and serve the public as a police officer!

ME: ....I have corn chips.

All lies, the friend does not love, the crush's baby is ugly, the other friend seeks its own interests and you don't have corn chips!

Sniff... I remember a world with corn chips! But that was before the singularly and subsequent robot uprising. ..

Don't get me wrong, Joss will absolutely break your heart.  Cruelly and completely.  Over and over.  And you'll keep thanking him for the privilege.

Definitely lies.  Who could possibly love life in North Dakota?

It is not hell! It has only two seasons (Spring and Autumn), eye trees, talking cats, scantily clad redheads, telepathically controllable sand and a telepathically paintable sky. It is a Dreamscape!

Oh... wait... you mean that hell dimension... riiiiight....

When you find out your dad is also your 12th cousin.

I seem to recall a study that showed the vast majority of people on the planet are no further related to each other than 10th cousins.

Also, if you're of European descent, you have Charlemagne as an ancestor.  Dude got around.

Ok, this is kind of random, but who cares? It IS the "Random Stuff" thread...

@TwiLyghtSansSparkles, seeing you use the word "enamored" reminded me of my weird habit of using the spellings "enamoured" and "glamour" even though I'm American, grew up in America, learned to spell the American way, and American English generally uses the "or" spellings over the "our" spellings. I also prefer "judgement" over "judgment"--got that one wrong in a spelling bee once because I included the first E.

Who was Charlemagne? He's in my mental list of 'names of important people I know nothing about".

Wasn't he one of the emperors of the Holy Roman Empire?

Edit: Nope! I was wrong.

Charlemagne, also known as Charles the Great or Charles I, was King of the Franks. He united most of Western Europe during the early Middle Ages and laid the foundations for modern France, Germany and the Low Countries. Wikipedia

But... that's Cyanide & Happiness!

You are correct, can one have a Freudian Slip while typing? If so, then that. If not, then I have no explanation.

I've been re-reading XKCD lately so it jumped to my head...
