The Honest trailers guys know how to criticize movies in totally fun. I recommend them to  everybody.

@Darkness Ascendant You know the movie Inception, where they plant an idea in someone's head and risk it growing out of control?

I'm blaming you for that. I'm now considering putting that random Who/Potter crossover up on a fanfic site despite having no title, summary, plot direction, or idea where I'd host it.

heheheheheheheheheheh....I want to make an essay on Roko's Basilisk now XD And then I'll hasten the Singularity!

If you do come to tumblr, I'll help you out with the little experience that I have XD

A photo of my city: (yes, those are gas lanterns)

A question: how do you call the man who's job is lighting the lanterns?

I have a weird fetish for gas-lamps :ph34r: So that made me very happy XD There are a fair few gas lamps around my suburb, but they are never lit :( And I have a few in my home but they are just electronic ones designed to look like gas-lamps.

In other news

Spoiler

With proud thanksgiving, a mother for her children,
England mourns for her dead across the sea.
Flesh of her flesh they were, spirit of spirit,
Fallen in the cause of the free.

Solemn the drums thrill: Death august and royal
Sings sorrow up into immortal spheres.
There is music in the midst of desolation
And a glory that shines upon our tears.

They went with songs to the battle, they were young,
Straight of limb, true of eye, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted,
They fell with their faces to the foe.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

They mingle not with laughing comrades again;
They sit no more at familiar tables of home;
They have no lot in our labour of the day-time;
They sleep beyond England's foam.

But where our desires are and our hopes profound,
Felt as a well-spring that is hidden from sight,
To the innermost heart of their own land they are known
As the stars are known to the Night;

As the stars that shall be bright when we are dust,
Moving in marches upon the heavenly plain,
As the stars that are starry in the time of our darkness,
To the end, to the end, they remain.

@Darkness Ascendant oh no, now you've made me feel the pain of having to do an hour-long vigil ending at dawn on little sleep. Yes, I respect and acknowledge those who died for war. Yes, I am glad I didn't have to do the vigil this year (although one of my friends did), due to no longer being a Scout.

lol.

I've never been to a vigil or anything. I just think of them thanks to our unit on War Literature...some of the stuff we've been forced to watch :blink:

Right. I've only had to do them due to being a Scout, and I know Guides also have to do then.

Could somebody ban @Darkness Ascendant, delete all his posts and erase any mention of him and any quotations of him? Thanks.

Where do you live :o

There are a little over 100 gas street lights. The lantern-lighter goes around the Old Town every evening to light them and every morning to put them out. Some people don't even know the city has a lantern-lighter.
I've seen him like two or three times, it was cool :D

But nothing is cooler than the Old Town by night, lighted all up. On a warm summer night.
