He would have been more trapped than Sequence had been

Renewal, who was once called Bob, was now gone forever.

Nameless was pretty sure he could’ve killed the thing, or at least gotten it to leave, but instead he’d just sat in his house playing Minecraft with Moni, who’d gotten over her existential crisis, and X.

Sequence stared at Rep for a moment, then she and all entities remotely connected to her started wailing pitifully.

Rep was of course completely heartless, so this had no effect whatsoever. He dashed off into the night to go do something or other with the Nullite sword.

But he was not earless. The piercing screams of about four cosmically powerful entities shook all of TLT violently. It was much worse than any earthquake.

Just now, The Bookwyrm said:

Bookwyrm narrated a bubble of sound-proof air around himself and tried to figure out how to stop the wails.

The sound proofing did little to shield one from the sobbing, but it was at least enough to prevent the Bookwyrm's eardrums from exploding.

The screams compounded the buzzing, making it more intense, and with a recognizable direction

With a sound such as that, almost all entities starting crying, just adding to the sound. It was disastrous.

Bookwyrm followed the now-apparent direction of the pulses.

"Hey, @The Wandering Wizard!" he said. "We have to finish our quest to find the pulses!"

Which was probably a good idea, as the sobbing and the buzzing made an awful combo.

Unintelligible walked over to Sequence and handed her an ice cream cone.

Sequence thanked Unintelligible, popped the whole thing in her mouth, and continued crying.

Unintelligible stuffed cotton in his ears, then handed Sequence a tub of mint chocolate chip ice cream.

The cotton started crying as well, as it was so loud and the ice cream exploded from the sound.

Unintelligible asked Sequence to stop crying.

Sequence stopped. She blinked a few times. "Huh. I guess you're magic or something." Sequence had stopped crying, but Everyone, Fuzzy, and one other cosmic entity connected to Sequence (who were large contributors to the sound) were still crying, along with everyone else.

Bookwyrm and Wizard were soon so close to the source of the pulsing that even their narrated sound-proof shields were beginning to erode away.

The location was a circle of six standing stones jutting towards the sky, each one a different color and seemingly material. in the center, there was a small, hovering, glowing blue orb.

As the questers watched, the orb shrank, then vanished. As it did so, the sound deepened. suddenly, time slowed. Wind swirled around one of the pillars, a grey-white one, and then took on a faintly visible human form. the ground rumbled by the jade-green stone, and a human form made of stone, earth and vines burst forth. Water rushed, and flowed up next the the blue-white stone, and fire burned into a figure of flames next to the crystalline red and orange pillar. Light brightened next to the pure-white pillar, and darkened next to the onyx-black one, both congealing into humanoid forms. The pulse once again intensified.
