noooooooooooooo!! WHY!

if there's one thing I've learned in my years on this thread, it's this: while the lack of Plot is inherently unstable, the presence of it is inherently exclusive. A balance must be reached.

Uncle Brandy walked the streets of the fast growing empire, lost in thought.

A figure of white flowing liquid arose from the streets of the fast growing empire, and introduced herself as Resolution to uncle brandy. She held the Plotblade Foreshadowing but did not take a offensive stance. "What's this?"

Desolation may or may not be one of my best characters buuuuuttttt... Falvan can certainly sense where the blade is. Falvan could try summoning it but Desolation would probably appear instead.

He could try to summon it, but it is trapped deep. have you read the Kane Chronicles?

darn, I was gonna give an example.

it could, but as the effects of Suddenly, Pineapples would be negated, Hacob would be back too

Hacob would be back, yes, but desolation will definitely try to kill him with Ore din aerie first, while he's still off guard. Resolution is technecially part of Desolation and so she would probably give Foreshadowing to him (unwillingly).

As Hacob was the last wielder of the Dohr Maul blade, it would be with him before Desolation and he'd just banish them both again

The blade would likely appear before both of them came back (remember desolation didn't exist until Falvan accepted the offer) waiting for a foolish person to accept the curse on it again.

Also, even if Hacob had the blade, since Desolation isn't a narrator, he isn't specially affected by it. A narrator weilding a narrator-killing blade would probably find it easier to kill themselves rather than kill a binary fissioning goop.

Of course, when Desolation kills some narrator with the blade and gains their powers, you could use the blade to steal them back from desolation.

"Falvan, you could summon Ore din Aerie Nohr Maul Blade, it would work. And if desolation truely is destroyed, then..." Rirrom shook his head. "But we should help with the ritual. There is no reason not to, since we disrupted this poor lad's ritual."

"Excellent! I'm glad you've agreed to help. I'm sure the ritual will be very easy with two narrators to help."

Remember, Hacob couldn't banish Desolation without Suddenly, Pineapples. And that sword is back in Onyx's vault again, not able to be accessed.

As Uncle Brandy walked through the Ghanderflaffle empire, he noticed something strange: The Ghanderflaffles looked markedly different from how they'd used to look.

Hacob and the Blade would come back at the same time because they were the two that were banished.

Platypus looked over. "Spook, Ene is here!"

He grins and waves.

"Hi Ene, I don't think we've met, but I'm Platypus, the Narrator of the one you know as Cacophony."

Spook blinked, "Well... I do believe that is my cue to go. Pleasure to meet you, Ene."

He turned, snapping his fingers and disappearing in a burst of mist.

@AonEne(Nearly pinged the wrong person-)

A flask of wine walked up to Uncle Brandy and clocked him with a grandfather clock.

The dark figure walks over to a convenient patch of perfectly circular stone inscribed with all the necessary arcane inscriptions and begins setting up candles. "That's fine Rirrom. Just don't step into the circle until I'm finished. You're lucky I wasn't very far along last time. If the ritual had been near-complete, the amount of dark energy released when it was broken could have seriously injured you."

"im not rirrom, sorry to burst your bubble"

"Yes Falvan, I know. I was talking to Rirrom. You should stand right there in the center of the circle, inside that ring of flames." As he spoke, a ring of black fire appeared in the center of the ritual circle. "Hurry now, or it'll start to destabilize."
