Nope :P.

Erif surveyed the scene, his expression unamused.

"This is the best you can do, brother? Really?"

"Er," he said awkwardly. "Muffin?"

@The Halcyon Girl

Can I offer you a muffin in these trying times?

“That’s her favorite.” Gail sniffled, grabbed the muffin, and nibbled at it. “Thank you.”

Thank you for the muffin in these trying times :)

Nogard carefully held in a sigh of relief and shot Shoe a grateful glance.

I've definitely done stuff here, but heck if I can remember it.

Found it!

The man with the staff showed up again. He seemed to be having an easier time carrying it than he did before.

The rain was now strong enough to make it hard to see further than a few feet in front of you. Nogard squinted at the figure approaching.

"Hello!" he called. "Do I know you?"

"Probably not!" He held it like a weapon, though it seemed to be made of metal and must have been very heavy.

"All... this." Erif gestured generally. "What have you accomplished? Obtaining a spear you don't know how to use? Rebuilding a rabbit bridge? How is any of this supposed to help break the curse?"

Nogard shuffled his feet. "I..." He swallowed. For some reason, the words wouldn't come out.

Erif shook his head, disgusted, and walked away. The rain continued to fall.

Nogard sighed. "You wouldn't happen to have an umbrella, would you?"

Jilu stared shocked when this all transpired before her.
“Your bunny wouldn’t happen to have red fur, would it?”

"I very much doubt it was that bunny. Unless Qodi was leading quite the double life."

2 minutes ago, The Aspiring Archivist said:

"No. Why?"

"Well, I'm cold and wet and it's raining, for one. What, does the rain not bother you?"

"Huh. Must be nice." Nogard rallied himself. Best not to be too impolite to strangers. "Hello. My name's Nogard. What's yours?"

Yrank, stiffness gone, patted the man on the back. "Whatever it is, you'll probably earn another few names as the story unfolds. Anyway, I think Nogard is just being polite."

Aero yawned, following slowly. Unintentionally, he began to fall in step with Woe.

"Hey Woe, how did you betray them again? I kind of got confused at that part..." Aero asked quietly, hoping his question wouldn't offend the others.

Jilu gave Nogard a sideways glance. “Who did you call? I want them as a friend.”

What do y’all think of my new PFP? (It’s the brand of one of my hopeful alleyverse characters, Teon Asheol)

It is cool!

Woe intentionally didn't answer but stayed quiet, still following.

The man looked Nogard dead in the eye with little expression. "Why do you want to know?"

"Well, you can't be friends with someone without having a name for them, can you? I have the names of all these people- that's Shoe, that's Jilu, that's Aero, that's Hrank, that's the Once-Author..."

Nogard continued to deliberately ignore Woe as best as he could.

@SpiritOfWrath, that is a cool pfp, especially if you made it yourself!

Nogard frowned. The old man had not yet returned to confirm the end of the quest. He hoped nothing had happened to them.

"Did I say I wanted to be your friend?"

"Well, no, but I make it a goal to at least keep the option of friendship open towards everyone. And to be frank, names are pretty useful even amongst people who aren't friends. I mean, without a name you'd just be 'that dude with a staff.' What if some other dude with a staff comes along?"
