Cyanic he/him Posted August 19, 2018 Report Share Posted August 19, 2018 I'm planning on bringing a gun to a magic fight by getting Deras a high caliber autocannon (namely the RARDEN, I was originally gonna get a GAU-8 but that's a bit above Deras' strength level) this should be alright tech-wise since we have things like spacecraft, and I'm planning to give him these a bit later on when the average power level starts rising again. Not sure where to get one though, maybe the pre-Calamity Reckonerverse since the Alleyverse is timelocked relative to the other 'verses (though I imagine it's not gonna be easy to acquire such a weapon, maybe he could ask some Forger to allow him some sort of easy access to this, I dunno, planning for the future is fun) 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Basically, I proposed that the nuke do different levels of damage to different parts of the city, leading to those different sections being referred to 'wards' (ala Thaylen City). Thus, my goal was to outline the different Ward sections. I aimed to have the Canton of Combat and the Worldspike within the crater, in order to make a cool 'island' within the destruction. I also wanted parts of the city to be semi-spared to make an 'Old Ward'. So I placed the epicenter of the nuke like so. Spoiler Everything within the first circle is a crater. Everything within the second circle is flattened and stripped away, and everything outside the second circle is damaged but still recoverable, with half-standing walls and the like. Using this info, I made a second map containing the actual wards: Spoiler Red = Old Ward (containing original buildings) Yellow = Central / Worldspike Ward (an upraised island in the crater) Green = Crater Ward Brown = Canton Ward (an upraised island in the crater) Blue = West Ward (on the crater slopes) Pink = North Ward (on the crater slopes) The idea is that the yellow and brown wards are like hills, rising out of the cratered green, blue and pink wards, with the red ward at original surface level and having original authentic buildings (or replicas of originals). What do you think? My main concern is that I'm underestimating the damage of the thermonuke (although we can always handwave with Aons and such) and that the West and North Wards are too small. I've considered combining them into one (divided) Slope Ward, with the Worldspike Ward taking up more northwestern space. I think the nuke could have done more damage, but I am no specialist for that, and it is a fantasy universum.
