No, I don't even remember the circumstances of his death. He was killed while hunting, right? Did they say it was murder?
The Sovereign
Just now, aneonfoxtribute said: No, I don't even remember the circumstances of his death. He was killed while hunting, right? Did they say it was murder? Yes, he died in a hunting "accident" but it is strongly implied there was foul-play.
aneonfoxtribute
Well I didnt even remember there was foul play, so figuring out who actually killed him is entirely different. Though I was told something on the Discord that I think someone got too hasty in explaining and explained way too early and that could well be connected. Spoiler I was told that Galad was Rand's half brother, which means he killed Rand's father. It would not surprise me if it turned out he killed his own father too.

With good detective work this can be figured out by roughly the end of Book 4: Janduin (Rand's father) was killed by Luc Mantear (Rand & Galad's Biological uncle on their mother's side; Tigraine's brother) Edited February 3, 2021 by The Sovereign
aneonfoxtribute
Gareth Bryne has shot up a lot in how much I like him in just one scene. Very nice.

Neither of them appear until Book 8 "The Path of Daggers" (although Silviana is mentioned in book 5 "The Fires Of Heaven" 's prologue).

aneonfoxtribute
So Liandrin has been shielded entirely. I wonder if that means that is the end of her as a threat or if she will eventually find a way to break the shield and come back with a vengeance

aneonfoxtribute
It was after the fight with the Shaido, when Rand was like delirious and thinking more like Lews Therin

Not to spoil things but in the greater context of the story this ends up being a smart decision; Couladin is just not all that important... Sevanna is a bigger fish. Even then... meh...

aneonfoxtribute
LMAO, Alviarin's letter asks Rand to keep the contents a secret. Rand reads it, reads it one more time, then immediately lets Moiraine read it. Absolutely wonderful
aneonfoxtribute
It looks like the setup for the end of the book is Rand going to Caemlyn and fighting Rahvin. That is not at all where I thought this was going. ALSO MAT KILLED MELINDRHA OKAY I EXPECTED THAT EVEN LESS
