Hi! I've been reading Brandon Snaderson since finding Elantris and Mistborn: The Final Empire in my local library in 2006ish. He became my favorite author and now I'm here! Glad to join!

Hello there, and welcome to the chaos Shard!

Since you've been reading the Cosmere for a bit now, what would you say your favorite book is? On a related note, who is your favorite character?

Mistborn: The Final Empire is probably my favorite book. I just re-read it, and I still love it, even if I see more of its flaws. If forced to pick a favorite character, it's probably Sazed or Kaladin. If I sound uncertain, it's because I am; I enjoy basically everything Brandon has written and his characters are good enough it feels wrong to select one over another.

I feel that, lol. But Final Empire is an amazing book, so I understand where you're coming from. Hero of Ages is probably one of my most favorites, because of the amazing ending.

Ah, I love the two. I can see why it's hard for you to choose, because frankly, I have a hard time choosing just one when I can love them all, lol.

I've always thought Mistborn: The Final Empire was just called Mistborn! Learn something new everyday!

My 2006 paperback says "Mistborn" in the cover.  "Mistborn" on the spine.  "Mistborn" on the top of every odd-numbered page.  The only places the words "The Final Empire" appear is the copyright info and the title page, and who looks at that?  At the very least, it's certainly a bit misleading.

Kind of like how that film that was originally titled "Star Wars" eventually became "A New Hope".

Oh, @tilionvevfet, welcome!
