apparently? so homeschooling is pretty much school except your teacher is your mom and/or dad. usually there is a curriculum that the parents use to school their children. um, I'm bad at explaining this aren't I?

Not at all! You explained it clearly. It's just that I studied on my own without my parents' help, which means I didn't have a teacher. Um does that still count as homeschooling? (sorry for my poor English)

I think so- the homeschool courses I'm currently enrolled in are online, so I'm essentially my own teacher.

I USED to be homeschooled— Im trying school this year and so far it’s a lot of time in school and what we learn doesn’t justify it…

Same. School is kind of dumb, and as a primarily homeschooled person, I could complain about it (With good evidence) For a very long time.

Nooo! You‘ve betrayed us! Come back, Haly, come back! Do you hate public school as much as I did? Tell me you do! Please!

Wizard isn't homeschooled, but I guess he could still give his thoughts on public school.

I was only homeschooled for preschool. My cousins are homeschooled, but they won't talk to us anymore, so, not much I can help.

Though by going to school I can go to a local community college for a few hours, and it's so nice to get away from the highschool.

What is the best thing about public school. (In your opinion)

Thank goodness. I was so worried.

Okay. Tell us what‘s good about public school. I want your opinion.

The only good thing is getting possibly more help for standardized tests like the ACT and opportunities like being able to get some college credit, which is harder to get while homeschooled. That's about it.

Homeschooling would have SOOO much better food, school lunches are terrible and they NEVER have enough food.

You do eat a lot though. But yes, I agree with all of that.

I'm kinda homeschooled this year.

I'm taking two classes online cause my school didn't offer them.

But I have to do them in my free time in addition to school.

The worst of both worlds...

Ouch. That‘s rough. And you still have to eat school food for lunch.

I wasn't asked and I'm butting in here….however….the friends thing.  Getting out of the house.  Learning to deal (or not) with all sorts, including bullies.  Working on a school newspaper for a couple of years.

Of course there were also MANY things I disliked.  Starting with Phys Ed.  I realize the need but getting sweaty in the middle of the day?  Ick.  Make it the last class if you must.  I was so happy when in Jr. College you had a choice of sports, like bowling and badminton.

I hated P.E. sooo much, even though it was almost my last class. And the reason I don‘t really care about friends is, I‘m introverted and I go to church and there are a lot of really nice people my age there.

But that is true, the part about dealing with lots of people.
