Amazing! Now all you have to do is fill them with an alcoholic beverage and a small amount of heavy metals.

I opted for mineral oil in mine vs alcohol for display purposes. Didn’t want to risk rust and ruin to the metals inside if the alcohol or whiskey had any water content.

I think getting some of the metals would be hard. Considering some of them are poisonous to the touch. But I do like it, and plan to make one myself sometime

Acquiring the metals did take some time for me. Finding objects that were the correct metal type that I could grind up was time consuming. Brass, tin, copper, iron, steel, and atium (BB's from a BB gun) were probably the easiest to acquire. The bronze came from some old pennies (1962 or prior). Pewter and zinc are the tough ones. I think if I ever made more stands, I'd probably try to source metal shavings online. The other very time consuming part of the project was the decorative copper that's braided around the top and bottom. That was three different strands of speaker wire that I stripped and wove together, then hammered into a cut groove. Rubber gloves could be worn if you're worried about exposure to certain metals. Lead, mercury, cadmium, arsenic and thallium are the only metals I know of that are poisonous if ingested. You'll have to post yours up so I can admire it once you've made it.
