  1. An Azish man walked up to Mahz and handed him a small business card. On one side, a small bit of congealed blood coated one corner, and notes were written in tiny illegible hand; among the mess was a list of pseudonyms, written in solid printing type. The very top name was Alum. The rest were names of various cultures and planets; most began with the letter A. On the other side, some contact details, and a simple two word phrase. I'm interested.
  2. Alum would also like to open an account, now that he’s free. I’d love to see this idea be used more often.
  3. Called it, Fifth. I’m pretty happy about that. And also... how am I still alive? Did I dodge three Wildmen attacks and an assassination attempt? Is Kielan immortal? That was great fun, although I definitely wasn’t active enough. I’d play again.
  4. Ah, yes. That last sentence I didn’t really think through when I wrote it, and looking back I definitely don’t agree with it. I think that Fifth were converted either cycle 4 or 5 - them being Galladon doesn’t make sense to me. I didn’t start getting Spirit vibes until recently, and Spirit!Karata even voted on Fifth after their conversion to try and dodge the lynch. So I’m looking at a converted Fifth.
  5. In the early afternoon, a tall Azish man placed a table and two chairs in the corner of the Old Ward. Next to this arrangement, a large handmade sign advertised, in carefully scribed letters: Tell Your Story. Underneath, a smaller type read, Looking for stories of people throughout Alleyverse history, young and old. Seven Day War veterans welcome. At first, he was ignored. But a few people sat opposite the man, and with some prompting they began to share their life. Stories of heroism. Loss. Great courage and great sacrifice. Stories of the war. As word spread, the line soon spooled around the corner of the alley, with people coming from every part of the city. Stacks of notes filled the space around the desk, and a few discarded papers rose and fell among the people like confetti. As some of you are aware, over the past two months a few of us have been developing a wiki for the Alleyverse. It's come a long way: as of now it contains every event and location during Era 0 and 1, barring a few of the larger threads like SDW and the Training Ground. 75 threads of content summarized into 59 pages of description. If you're confused about what happened with the split of the Ghostbloods, you've got a place to go. But it's hardly complete, and there's one major thing we're missing: characters. Characters make and break an RP, and I roughly estimate that the number of them is steadily approaching 100. And while we could go through and fill out everyone's page with their character bio, it would be missing a significant portion of the history of that character. The bios aren't up to date - they don't include character arcs, weapons, gifts, guilds, or involvement with key events. Summarizing people (especially people who have been around for a significant period) without including that information would be sorely under-appreciating the 'coolness' of some of the characters. We don't need character sheets - we need campaign journals. What's the solution? We could comb through every thread a second time and catalog every character. But that would be painstakingly difficult - arcs would be spread over multiple threads, mingle together, and have large gaps between posts. It would require a lot of time to do that. But there's a better idea: Get other people to do the work for you We're going to ask you for help. You know your characters better than anyone. You know what threads you were involved in, what guilds you're affiliated with, which plotlines and events you influenced. Did you help to change the course of the War? You'll remember that key moment in your character's life. If everyone sends in summaries of what they did, that can speed up our turnover significantly. We'll know what to look for, and we'll do a better job of representing your character. Let me get to the point. If each person with a character could post or PM me with the following information, that would assist us greatly. What we need for each character: Complete character bio (if it's not on Archer's list) History: every major event they were involved in. Side plots as well if you can remember. Major character developments and changes, and when they happened. Key relationships with other characters. Guild and group affiliations Key weapons, where you got them, and what happened to them (especially for early Era 1 characters) I'm aware this is a lot of work, but it saves us a lot of time comparatively. If you have multiple characters, a description of each of them (not just your current one - deceased, abandoned or secondary characters as well) would be invaluable. Thank you. - The Alleyverse Wiki Staff https://alleyverse.wikia.com/wiki/Alleyverse_Wiki
  6. Even the sheer size of the building astounded him. Alum marveled at the technology: aluminium was plentiful here? Moving walkways? Iron Man suits? Aons? Nukes? It would take a while to acclimatize, for sure. But for now, he had elsewhere to be. Grabbing some conveniently placed sign materials, Alum left the compound. He had had an idea.
  7. Well, that's quite an about face Fifth. (Edit: I forgot I already voted for them. Whoops.)
  8. While I'm interested to see how this Crimsn thing pans out, I'm going with my gut microbiome with Fifth. The Bard flip leads me to believe that one of Devotary/Drought is converted as well. I'll Hrathen-vote one of them when I can (and, yes, that is an amazing game mechanic).
  9. Hmm. Looking over previous posts, I've got a developing suspicion of Fifth (and Itiah by association, although less so). Nothing I can really pin down, but a general Star Wars-ish 'bad feeling about it'. The IKYK reasoning that's cleared them doesn't sit well in my eyes. I'm also happy with the Bard lynch, though, so I'll stick with that for now.
  10. As much as I’d like to manipulate my way to easy victory as elim, I have to say that I have neither the skill nor experience to pull that off. In fact, in my first game (Deception round 1) I was an elim - and I got caught cycle 1. Even if you think I’m suspicious, it looks like the Wildmen are dead set on me anyway, so you’d be far better to try and lynch another possible Spirit candidate and let them get rid of me.
  11. I was going to address my healing, but I didn’t want to make a one-sentence post without adding anything to the discussion. I was healed Cycle 5. Although I don’t fancy my chances surviving until the end - it looks like the Wildmen have painted a target on my forehead. I only got attacked twice last turn, however, so it appears someone backed out. For now, I’m sticking by my Bard vote. He seems the most suspicious option for now - although if they flip village, I have a growing suspicion for Fifth. Kidpen, I’m interested why you’ve voted for me. Is it just a blind read? Ninja’d, Drought.
  12. It appears my general ineptness is working both for and against me when it comes to gut reads. In terms of suspicions: while I’ll probably do a deeper read of all of the candidate’s posts, I’m going for a tentative blind guess of Bard, with Fifth Scholar as my second - I’m not happy with the IKYK trust that Fifth has, and it’s entirely possible that they were converted this turn when the Spirits saw the trust that had built up. Is there a reason they’ve been cleared from being Galladon apart from Itiah’s trust? Also, I survived two attacks. Wow.
  13. Ah, I missed that. In that case, we should reveal a Wildmen list - in either case, the elims have one (either Itiah is converted and lying about there being a traitor, or he is telling the truth and there’s another convert in the group.) CadCom’s been marked down as suspicious mostly for pushing lynches without providing justification, and a whole bunch of gut reads. It’s entirely possible he’s just acting elim unintentionally, but as of now he’s been pinned by a number of others. That being said, if I were a Spirit and I wanted to pick someone to convert, I would pick someone in good standing and with trust built, not someone already under suspicion. If CadCom is a Spirit, he’s probably Galladon. I don’t think Fifth was a Spirit as of the Shqueeves lynch. I think bussing like that, especially early game bussing with no major suspicions against Shqueeves in the first place, would do them more harm than benefit. Having an extra member with abilities would be far more useful than gaining ‘trust’, at least in my eyes. Let the villagers lynch their own members while you quietly work in the background, instead of giving them a leg up. Fifth might have been converted, though - I personally think they would’ve tried for a potential Shaor instead, but we can’t confirm that. A Dashe kill would go a long way to help clear Fifth, although Itiah might’ve just been pocketed.
  14. I’m not sure what I think about an Itiah kill. On the one hand, we dry up our only possible source of information - on the other, they’re a prime target for conversion, if they weren’t converted already. A wildman kill on them would do well to confirm that there is a traitor in their midst. And if they’re converted, it benefits us anyway. A win-win. If Itiah is lying, then sharing the Shaor Wildmen list wouldn’t benefit us at all - it’d just narrow down the list for the elims when they don’t have a converted Spirit in the group. But if they are telling the truth, then not sharing would give them an extra turn to narrow down the pool of potential leaders. My gut read says that Itiah is telling the truth, but we’ll need confirmation for that. As a result, Itiah. As for the remaining traitor, CadCom for now (although this may change if I see the list of Wildmen).
  15. We got a confirmed Karata - I can’t think of another reason why they’d claim. (Elandera). Now, that begs the question: who is the final Spirit (or Spirits)? To clear things up, I’m an Independent, although I haven’t taken any actions unfortunately - mostly due to inactivity. Right now, I’m swinging between CadCom and a converted Coop, since I saw a significant change in behavior between C1 and C2. Analysis and mechanical discussions gave way to RP and other non-Spirit hunting stuff.
  16. So it appears I missed some things. Before I make any votes, why have people decided on Elandera as the target? Is it just a gut read on Itiah’s part?
  17. That’s fair. Steeldancer, CadCom (for reasons I stated in my own analysis post and for reasons said by others).
  18. Since the Shqueeves vote seems set upon, I’m instead going for Steeldancer. This is mostly for their lack of content - their very first post was that we should be elim hunting, but they have yet to have any suspicions or even make any votes.
  19. Mail, is there a reason you’ve purpled me, aside from reasons already stated by others? And Crimsn, I’m doing my best not to play the New Player card, as I want my suspicions and opinions to be weighed equally with others - obviously I’m going to make mistakes as a new player, but I will do my best not to. Playing the new player card wouldn’t be in my best interest. I talk like I know what I’m talking about because I 1) am an arrogant human being and 2) see previous reason. And, I agree. As the Shqueeves post seems pretty set upon by others, I will instead vote on someone else who seems Spirit-y. I’ll do that when I can concentrate.
  20. Thanks for the advice, Drought! Enjoying my first proper SE game. And, yeah, I was going to give my reads, but I put it off and then I ran out of time. Again, mea culpa. (I removed the reads for inactive people, since they’re all neutral.) So, yeah. I agree with the suspicions of Ela and Steel right now. I’m unsure about Cadcom and Mail, with possible suspicions that I’m not willing to push yet. I don’t have a read on xino, Kidpen or Devo. The others so far seem village to me.
  21. I was initially suspicious of Mailiw, given his attempt to gather information, but looking back I’ve changed my mind. They don’t seem elim to me. No one else has especially stuck out as Spirit to me as of yet. I’ll make a post of my reads when I have more time and information, but right now I’m fine to go with the current wagon. We’ve already lost a day (partially due to my actions, mea culpa) and a lynch, even an incorrect lynch, would be a start. It would be in the elim’s best interest to prevent a lynch, and even push against it, so unless someone can present a viable alternative I’m going with Bard.
  22. I switched my vote since I was hesitant about pokevoting - I was just trying to get a lynch going, and seeing someone else have actual suspicions convinced me to switch. Maybe I should have held my vote and waited for more reactions against Bard, especially since xino responded right after. I’ll try not to make that mistake again. But, yeah. I don’t have any strong suspicions right now, so I’ll hold on Bard unless I see strong evidence against him or indicating someone else.
  23. I agree with your reads. It doesn’t have to be right - it just has to get the ball rolling. xinoehp521, Young Bard.
