The cats petitioned the chickens to stop sanctioning them and in return they would stop chasing the chickens.

The cats multiplied faster however. "I've always liked cats." Cackles Wizard. "Especially black cats."

The cat's shardplate repels the chickens so the cats run after the chickens through the halls adding to the growing diversity of life in the clinic. "Well that was unexpected."

I just have problems with those who annoint themselves leader so if the council had consisted of the whole shard then it would have been better.
