Don't you just love it when your parental unit comes home to relieve you of babysitting after a long day? I thought to myself, maybe I'll have time for the shard today. Of course, my baby brother had to throw up at the exact second they came home, making me look completely incompetent. Luckily, he seems fine and he didn't make a huge mess. But still... I have been banished to the basement until further notice. Apparently, I'm not trustworthy enough to clean up barf anymore.

A word of advice:

Don't put chips ahoy cookies in your cargo pants pockets for any amount of time. It doesn't matter if you were trying to be polite to the person who offered them to you. Those nasty little confections turn to dust in like five minutes.

You know those days when you leave the house at 5 am and don't get back until 7:30 pm? If that time was spent at a library, on a hike, or doing things that generally don't involve huge crowds of people, it'd probably be fine. Going from overcrowded classrooms to overcrowded orchestra rooms to overcrowded assembly halls is draining, though. Is there a way for me to just not do this anymore? There's a point where I just want to wash my hands and walk away.

In other words, these little blue fairy penguins say hi. (they may or may not be plotting to eat you)

I repeat, correct comma usage is absolutely critical to the continued survival of the human race.

So there's this girl, who I swear I've never met in my life. She's super nice and friendly, but absolutely convinced that we went to camp together this summer (I definitely did not; I was too busy dying in a cornfield somewhere). She treats me like a close friend, which is great, but I don't know her at all. I keep trying to explain this to her, but she doesn't believe me. 

Does this mean I get a friend for free? It feels kind of dishonest, but I literally cannot convince her of the truth.

Just woke up from a two hour nap. First time I've napped like that in forever. So that's cool.

In other news, I'M A FREAKIN' PURPLE BELT NOW! All it took was a couple dozen bruises and accidentally getting punched in the face every now and then. I swear I gave my master a heart attack though. He's like 70 and very jumpy. We were practicing a more dangerous move together, and my elbow popped (pretty normal for me). I'm also hyper-flexible though, so it bent in a way that made it look broken. I'd feel bad, but PURPLE BELT!!

Oh, and apparently if you color on your throat with pencil it scares people. Probably should've considered that in advance. I didn't expect the marks to actually be visible.

I tried doing art! I’m pleased with how it turned out, considering that I never draw stuff. I like the version without color better, though. I don’t really know how to color things.

Christmas break is OVER! I can't decide if I'm happy because I won't be home to fight with my parental unit any more, or sad, because my freedom is going out the door. Either way, it makes me feel all warm and cozy knowing that no matter where I go I won't be missed.
