    I've convinced my 8 year old sister to read Alcatraz and I am very very proud of this.

    I failed with my brother but my sister actually listens to me.

      Yes! They do have to be at a certain age to not get scared :P

      I finally got my brother to read more cosmere because he ran out of books :P

      That would be important. Don't have them read Mistborn, Warbreaker, of SA unless they're mature. Probably not Elantris. The one I like to recommend to people to start with is the Rithmatist, but that can be scary too, at certain parts.
