Bill returned from his trip. “I have news! I found a …” He trails off as he sees aftermath of the attack. “What happened here?”

Bill rolled his eyes. “Be creative. I’m gonna scout this island for a while and search for some sign of civilisation. Don’t expect me back for a few hours.”

Bill sighed. “Shut it! We can decide who’s captain if we survive long enough to get to that bay.” He said and started swimming.

Hurricane wandered the corridor of the GMHQ. The games had ended and the tributes were released. He was relieved that they had survived, but still not quite satisfied. They would have fought until the end if the rebels hadn’t released them. He thought, as he floated to the deserted control room. He started watching recordings of the game. Tributes killed each other mercilessly. He shuddered, thinking about how all of them had been friends in the DDF only a few weeks ago. The games will not stop like this. They were the aftermath of war and only peace, not more bloodshed will end them. He had to stay near the new government if he wanted the games to stop, but first he needed to figure out how to get a new body.

Bill cursed as the tentacle emerged. “Man the cannons!” he shouted to the crew.

They were arriving at the island. Bill felt far more safer now that they were approaching land. The black spot… I didn’t know that it existed. he thought, shuddering. “What do we do after we land?” Bill asked Jay.

Bill tried to calm himself down. He was sill shocked at what he’d seen. The black spot… if what I’ve heard about it is true, we are all in grave danger.

Bill followed captain’s orders and fetched the prisoner. “Sorry mate. I suggest you knock next time.” Bill said as the prisoner did his job.

Bill gasped. “I… sir I’ve only heard stories… the black spot… I didn’t know it actually existed. I’m not as superstitious as the others. How did you get it?”

Bill inspected the map. “Where did you get this map? It does seem outdated. I suggest we ask our navigator why we haven’t arrived.”

Hurricane saw Zira approach. “I think it’s time for us to skedaddle.” he told Ryn.
