“The foolishness of men who care, and the wisdom of those who do not. Both opposing the last— the single distrust of all who are foolish in the beginning, in the deafness of the latter, the ones that fill themselves concretely, as if a dignity could be ignored, of hatred. For the first can not draw themselves together as the last is in foolishness. And yet as they do, the first only can thrive as the last does, until it does not, they lose their own foolishness, depending all their hope, on the second. Embraced as the first branches from them, in a circle, perfect, yet ripping the very fabric apart, piece by piece, second, by second, everlasting in misery.”

  1. Saw dune last night again. Here is my second time breakdown:

    SPOILER WARNING

    Too fast paced.
one of the things that I really enjoyed in the first one was that it actually gave you time to get grounded in the plot and the world. You get too see what title of person they are when they aren’t fighting, leading, or doing something important. In the second one however, they ramped up the speed. This could be done partially because it is a part two, and the first movie got you grounded to keep up with the second, but I still feel like they went a little fast. I also understand that they have preset things that they have to fit into the movie because it is already written in the book. But to be honest I don’t think this was a really big flaw. It work because if it’s part one.

There were a few specific things that didn’t need to be there.
You don’t have to see a huge naked guy being powered into a pool of black goo. Sorry, not necessary, just…weird. In addition, while they made a point to include tha unborn daughter as a character, I personally didn’t enjoy watching the undeveloped little baby inside of here mother…do stuff. And I know that this is preexisting in the books, but I think it could have done in a better, different way. This other part is personnel really. And I know that this is also most likely pre written in the book. The nephew guy. He is super violent, but I think that they make him goes a little far. The carnableism is a little bit much for me, and when he kisses his uncle is just plain disgusting. And I know that is part of his character, but I just don’t think it was necessary.

    Again, lastly, my standards.
They put one single swear word in the movie. Why? I greatly appreciate the lack of them, but if you make this universe that…doesn’t swear, why even have any?

Regardless, I loved the movies, I haven’t stopped sandwalking, and continue to shout “ya hya chouhada” (long live the fighters) at random.
The world building in the movie was incredible. The world itself is awesome, and they made did that in a film, which is really impressive. I love everything about the cultures, fighting styles, the hiding under sand sabotaging. It is all awesome, that said, bring the majority of the movie, it was awesome. I also love the worms and riding worms. Like it was great.
D U N E part two is an amazing movie. Timee is a great actor.

    Ha hya chouhada!

    Long live the fighters!

Yeah, really it being faster isn’t a problem, most movies now are pretty darn fast. For me, i just really enjoyed how the first one wasn’t overly fast.

Hey, I'm glad you liked it!

Yeah, I do think the violence was a bit too far over all, but I get it. Feyd kissing his uncle, I think, was based on the fact that there are cultures where that is the norm, and it even used to be the norm here in the US. Just watch its a wonderful life, George kissed his mom.

Saaiiiiiiinttttt Aaaaaliaaaaaaaaaaaaaa offff ttthhhhheeeee kniiiiiiiife. That is my entire defense of Alia in any case. Oh, and the fact that if you didn't like Alia on the weird factor, then I wish you luck if they adapt Children of Dune.
