Just-A-Stick

"Please don't." Iris says softly, "Can I please talk with you?"

Just-A-Stick, or, Stick, as I prefer to be called, is watching all this with apprehension and seems scared.

"Hello?" Iris asked, her voice tinged with worry.

"Yeah, we can ask her..." Rex smiled at him, playing with the front of his hair, which was sticking up slightly.

Ooohh... okayyy? *fear and concern*

"Yes... I think it's a good idea, I just don't know where we could get some." She answered, looking up at him.

"Well," She said after a moment, "I liked it." She blushed, looking down.

"Why?" She asked softly,

"Babe..." She whispered, feeling like she was melting inside.

"Yeah..." She was silent for a moment. "How can we not do that?"

She nodded, then shook her head, ignoring the pain. "Can you just tell me?" She pleaded.

"So it hasn't ended already?" She said, pain in her eyes as she looked at him.

"You... you could try." She whispered.

Rex winced, looking hurt. "I... alright." She dropped her hand, looking down.

Rex noticed. She laid her uninjured hand against his cheek, looking him in the eye. "What is it?" she asked, concern plain in her voice.

*dies* I WANT MORE!!! PLEASE!!! I LOVE IT SO MUCH!! *holds out writing stick very threateningly* WRITE MORE PLEEEAAASSSEEE!

Rex felt like she should be tired, but all she felt was her heart fluttering in her chest, her face flaming, and Daniel's strong arms wrapped about her, holding her close to him.

She pulled away after several minutes, cheeks pink and smiling widely. "You can stay." She breathed.

Rex smiled, a hint of teasing in her eyes. "Only if you kiss me." She said.
