I've always loved this hymn, but never realized there was more to it. Having read that, I can now safely say it's one of my favorite poems. Thanks for sharing!

Hiya everybody!
I might not be super active over the course of the next few days as far as RPing goes
SpoilerMy best friend's younger brother (four months old, he has downs syndrome) is in the hospital, (covid, beginnings of pneumonia, breathing trouble etc.)
And i'm trying to be available as much as possible for her and her family, who I love dearly.
I have some mental heath things I've been dealing with lately,
as well as the whole Christmas thing
and schoolwork, family issues, relationship issues, and a bunch of other stuff going on.
If anyone has any questions, please feel free to PM me, or if you just want to talk or something.

Guys, I went to the doctor last week, filled out a little papery thing-a-storm and apparently have Moderately Severe Depression, whatever that means.
that wasn't great news, as you might be able to guess... so, they put me on fluoxetine, and I'm getting used to that...
my anxiety levels have gone down a fair amount, so that's nice i guess...
ummm...
still kinda stressed about stuff... (i don't even know what tho)
*sigh* I'm tired and crap...

So, At my sleepover on Tuesday night, I watched Hamilton for the first time.
( minor spoilers for Hamilton)
SpoilerIT IS LITERALLY AMAZING AND I WANT TO WATCH IT AGAIN ALREADY! I adore all the Jefferson/Lafayette parts and I cried when Philip died, but still loved it.
I'm excited to watch it with my mom and hopefully make her love it. Why on Roshar don't they do this with more history??? like, I can memorize dates of stuff so much easier now that all my thoughts have been replaced with lyrics!
I still can't pick a favorite song or character, because I love them all so much! The fact that Lafayette pretty much always acts like he's a bit tipsy is hilarious and adds a lot to his character in my opinion
It will probably be the highlight of my week, as I have some... unpleasant things coming (math tutoring

I never had the chance! I have done... extensive research on it, and spent like.... 36 hours listening to the soundtrack and can pretty much sing all of it, but I never watched it. except now i did. YAY!
I'm at the place where I will randomly spout a quote and my fam will look at me like I have 6 heads XD.

I was one last year...
A grinch, I mean. Though, not very... grinch, I guess. I didn't want it to end, I just didn't feel excited. I felt super melancholy about presents and all of that.
THIS YEAR, however, I feel a little better about it all and think that it truly is wonderful. Seeing the faces of the younger kids makes it better, I thin.
As we grow older, we start to want the quieter, more sincere moments over the big, bombastic, flashy moments.
At least, that's just me.

I feel you. I felt a lot recently that it has to be more meaningful. To put it simply, Santa, and all the other common Christmas themes simply have very little value. Even presents thesl Don’t give the same thrill. But there is meaning. And that is what makes it my favorite day of the day. I try to focus on the birth of Christ.
