He put his hand on the side of her face. "Freya...?" He said softly.

Jacin looked at her, concern plain on his face. He trotted up the path to his house. Bursting through the door and starting a maid, he laid Freya on a sofa. "Meg!" He said, addressing the maid. "Yes, master Jacin?" "Will you go prepare the guest bedroom please? Ask Thomas to move the fever supplies from my storage room in there as well. Tell cook to make some hot tea or soup." He bent over Freya, taking her pulse in her neck.

She wrapped an arm around him. @Lightweaver2

"Ok, that's good... you were saying?" She's definitly delirious. not thinking clearly. hmmm.... Jacin walked along the street, speeding up. He could feel the heat radiating off her body.

Rex shifted in her sleep but didn't wake up on the way back. "Love... you..." She mumbled.

"Tell me something...." He held up two fingers. "How many fingers am I holding up?"

"I don't mind... so long as you're there." She started drifting off, eyes fluttering closed.

Rex yawned, trying to keep her eyes open. "It's getting late... where should we sleep?" She asked

Jacin started, trying to keep the surprise off his face. "I... What?"

"I'm glad that you're happy, that makes me happy. Just being with you makes me happy."

"Maybe, but I don't really want to move..." She smiled.

"You can talk about anything, so long as you say something." Jacin held her tight, trying to keep her warm as he walked toward an inn.

Jacin walked quickly out the door, shutting it behind him. "Can you talk to me?" He asked Freya. "I need you to keep talking." @Lightweaver2

"I love you to." Rex whispered, snuggling against him. "So much."

He caught her as she fell, scooping her into his arms and settling her head on his shoulder. "Just hang tight now, everything will be alright."

She kissed him back, wrapping an arm around him and running her good hand through his hair.

"I.. yes, one moment." He turned back to Mrs. Smith. "I need you to finish that tea and stay near the fire. I'll send someone along to check on you shortly." @SmilingPanda19 then, h turned back to Freya. "Can you walk?"

"Well, you have helped me to, for what it's worth. I... I don't know what I would do without you."

"What hurts? Where do you need to go?" He crouched in front of her, looking into her face.

"Do you... well, know anything that can help people like us?" She looked up at him, tears welling in her eyes. "I... I'm so tired of not having help."

"Can you tell me how you are feeling please?"

"Miss Freya, Please sit down." He guided her over to a chair, laying a hand on her forehead.

"Is... something wrong?"

"I... I'm sorry. Did being at the Academy help?"
