"well, I believe I was going to kiss you, but sure, we can go somewhere." She laughed to.

"I love you to." She laid her cheek against his, brushing it with her eyelashes.

"Is there anything you'd rather do?" He steered the two of them down a side street.

"No. Come back. don't think about that, please?" She looked at him with pleading in her eyes.

"Do you enjoy the work?" She'd make a good doctor's companion then... Jacin snapped his focus back to the present and away from such thoughts.

She stopped, moving her mouth away from his. "Did... did I do something wrong?" Rex asked fearfully.

"May I ask, Miss Freya, what is you're profession?" Jacin asked as they strolled along.

"Oh... well, just checking. I don't want to get hurt." Again. She added in her mind. She sat up and kissed him on the corner of his mouth.

"Shall we?" He offered her his arm again, nodding down the street. "First stop is down this way."

"So... done with the asking?"

"Daniel, can I kiss you?" Rex blushed, looking down.

"Yes, I believe so... unless that makes you uncomfortable?" Jacin looked at her.

"I could just sedate him... that way he couldn't kill himself..... but no he wouldn't be coming with us."

She grinned. "So, I didn't go to far, too fast?"

"Well... I have some patients to visit... But I'm sure that's no work for a lady."

"So... I should get off your lap?"

"Need you? Well ... no, want you? Yes." He smiled at her.

She ran her fingers through his hair, snuggling against him. "I know you do. I do too, but we can't stay like this forever."

"I wanted to thank Helda and Tayen for saving me.... I didn't do enough to thank them, and now I don't know where they are..." She frowned thoughtfully.
