Just-A-Stick

"I don't give a damn about me! You are not fine!" Rex tired to yell at him, but her throat was dry. It came out as more of a croak.

"You... don't sound like it. You're still hurting." Rex reached for him.

"Really? So you're feeling better?"

"Please, just take a deep breath. Are you feeling any better? Will you go over and get that knife right now, when I can't restrain you?"

"No, it's not. I'm the one who grabbed the knife. Are you feeling any better?"

"Thank you." She whispered

"Is it done? There are ointment and clean bandages in my satchel." Rex said, cracking open one eye. Some of the color was returning to her face.

"I didn't feel anything, so i think we are good. Can you thread the needle?"

"Good. now, can you please touch it very gently so that I can tell if it's working yet?"

"The brown glass bottle. Ten drops."

"Did you add the anesthetic yet?" Rex asked softly. it was evident that she was in a lot of pain.

"Ok, make sure your hands are clean, the can you prod the wound after you put the anesthetic in?" Rex shifted, trying to get into a more comfortable position.

"There is a small brown-glass bottle in my satchel. Get it and drip about ten drops into the wound. We need to find some water somewhere to wash out the wound, then I'll tell you how to sew it up." her face was very pale, eyes closed.

"Probably? I can't promise I won't pass out though..."

Rex gritted her teeth. "You could take me back to the hospital, which i would hate, or, I could teach you."

"In y satchel... 'eeds stitches..."

well, if i was this girl, I'd like something along the lines of... (Assuming she knows you exist and she gave you her number?) "Hey, its ____," Then maybe ask a random about you fact? (Ex. fav color, food, sport etc..)

She restrained him, but was starting to feel woozy from blood loss. "I... you still... love her..." Rex tried not to pass out.

"Because it's not the right thing! Julie told you to live! To find love and be happy! You won't find happiness at the end road. I will not let you hurt yourself!" Rex gripped him

"Daniel... You're scaring me...! What do I do? I will not let you kill yourself, you'll have to kill me first.."

She grabbed him and held him as tight as she could, wincing visibly at the pain in her hand. "No."
