"Where would he go if he escaped?"

"And stand there and watch me. what a gentleman you are." She scoffed, trying to sit up, but feeling dizzy. "It's hard to... I just feel like... i'm sinking? I don't even know anymore..." Rex sighed, looking at her feet.

"What id someone is with him at all times? There might be a hospital or somewhere else we could take him..." Jacin scratched his chin thoughtfully.

"And if I'm not fine?" "Well, sometimes I could care less about that." She muttered.

"We need to wean him off it slowly..." Jacin said

"Well so is what we are trying to do!" Rex leaned against him.

"Ahh.. so, when I say that I'm fine, you'll leave? Is that what we're doing?" "Yeah, that's better... I don't need to stop, or we'll get nowhere."

"Xenk, what do you think of all this?" Jacin asked, turning to him. @Little j

"And when, may I ask, am I 'Fit to be alone'?" She gritted her teeth against the pain in her wrist. "Yes, I think so... I'm a little light headed, but I'm alright..."

"Saying about how you were going to leave? Oh, and, don't you think it's a bit awkward... standing over me like this?"

"You were saying...." Auryn croaked

The man faltered, crying out and dropping to the ground.

"Maybe how we can help Xenk from killing himself?"

The large man looked surprised, and he jumped forward with a growl.

"I hope so." "Well, sure, it's not like I can't breathe, have a broken wrist and there's another thug over there trying to kill me." She pointed behind them.

"I have an idea! How about we all sit down, and talk like civilized adults!" Jacin burst out. @Little j

"I don't know either." She rasped. "Oh... well... I'll be there with you...?"

"All I'm saying, is you two are acting like children."

"I'm sorry I kissed you. You didn't seem ready." Rex held his other hand, keeping him from fidgeting.

"Children. Please." Jacin deadpanned @Little j @Lightweaver2

"You seem.. like that wasn't the best idea..."

She cracked open one eye. "It's Shadow." "Yes...sorry." She walked with him.

"Shu up" She rasped painfully, keeping her eyes closed.

"Of course!" She leaned over and kissed his cheek. Auryn lay panting on the ground, eyes closed and crying, clutching at her wrist.

Auryn tried to get her ears to stop ringing. She stumbled to her feet, roll forgotten on the ground, leaned over and retched. Another person stepped out of the shadows from nearby, walking up to her and, before she could react, kicking her legs out from under her. Auryn fell hard, crying out as she tried to catch herself but failed. "Ok... we need to go to the University."
