"Yeah..." She could feel her body shutting down, but didn't protest. She was safe, here with him.

"Take a nap..." She whispered, voice barely audible.

"Good..." She closed her eyes, head against his chest.

"Together. Good, I don't want to be away from you... you make me feel safe..." Her eyelids stared to feel heavy.

"Where will we go when we leave? And, are Tayen and Helda still around?" she asked, taking his hand.

"I'm glad you're here."

"Thank you." She whispered, closing her eyes, and letting him hold her.

"I know..." She collected herself enough to relax against him again.

Ash whirled around, eyes blazing. "What are you doing here?" She spat.

"I... could help you find it?"

Always... "I love you." She whispered.

Thank you. Her tears slowed, and the whispers grew quieter. She wiped her eyes, taking deep, shuddery breaths.

But... I'm still sorry... She sent, trying to quench her sadness.

Hardly thinking, she opened the link. WORTHLESS! Rex shuddered, trying to stem the flow of thoughts going into his mind now.

She nodded, trying to calm down. Feeling calm seemed very out of reach to her right now, but she tried all the same.

Rex clung to him, her only port in this storm. WORTHLESS! The voices where screaming now, battering against her.
