  1. She shook her head, sobbing into his shirt. "S-sorry." She choked out.
  2. Rex couldn't hold in her tears any longer, so she gave up trying. They coursed down her face and she looked down at her lap, vision blurred by tears. Worthless... worthless... worthless... The whispers repeated to her. There seemed to be no end to them. Rex bit her lip, trying not to sob.
  3. "Thank you..." She whispered, tears coming, voice choked with emotion.
  4. She nodded, if rather stiffly. "Thank you." It was forced, though she tried to make it sound relaxed. She tried to relax her muscles, but couldn't. Her body was stiff and tight in his embrace. @Weaver of Lights
  5. "No." She said shortly, looking away. Morgan's words echoed around her skull. Worthless, STUPID GIRL! Scratches! That's all you'll ever be... a useless pile of scars and scratches. Rex's fingers twitched and she shuddered, feeling tears prick her eyes.
  6. "Okay..." @Weaver of Lights

  10. She sighed, leaning into his fingers.
  11. "Good. I'm glad it's wonderful..." She ran her fingers through his hair again.

HER STORY BEGINS ON A TRAIN.

The year is 1956, and the Axis powers of the Third Reich and Imperial Japan rule.

To commemorate their Great Victory, they host the Axis Tour: an annual motorcycle race across their conjoined continents. The prize? An audience with the highly reclusive Adolf Hitler at the Victor's Ball in Tokyo.

Yael, a former death camp prisoner, has witnessed too much suffering, and the five wolves tattooed on her arm always remind her of the loved ones she lost. The resistance has given Yael one goal: Win the race and kill Hitler. With the power to skinshift, Yael must complete her mission by impersonating last year's only female racer, Adele Wolfe. But as Yael grows closer to the other competitors, can she be as ruthless as she needs to be to avoid discovery and stay true to her mission?

  14. "This- and you, make me perfectly happy." She whispered, not stopping her fingers. "I couldn't ask for anyone better, cause there's no one better for me. I promise."
  15. "Well, good. You deserve to be happy." She kissed his forehead softly and continued playing with his hair.
  16. She smiled and pulled him closer, running her fingers through his hair and trailing them over his forehead. "I love you..."
  17. She brushed her thumb across his cheek, looking into his eyes lovingly. "I'm more than happy to be kissed." She whispered.
  18. She thought for a moment. "For... everything. For being you... and kissing me." She blushed slightly, but decided to ignore it.
  19. She smiled back, resting her head on his chest again. "Thank you."
