"Therapy is expensive. Bubble wrap is cheap. Choose wisely." ~my brother *five minutes later* "I chose wisely." ~my dad, casually popping bubble wrap on the couch

"Come on." Rezyn wondered if her dad was back yet. "I must tell you all about the meeting I was just in."

Rezyn smirked. "Not particularly. You?"

Rezyn stared at her in bemused astonishment. "That man..."

I accidentally grin in the direction of @SmilingPanda19 but quickly turn it into a side eye and squeeze @Just-A-Stick's hand.

I scrawl my name without looking at the papers.

I sigh, pretending to scowl at @SmilingPanda19. "Co-parenting it is."

"I will deal with him," Kerst said evenly. "In my own time and in my own way. We'll talk to Kays when she returns, but for now Sleeper will stay."

I cave and rush toward her, taking her arm and squeezing it aggressively without speaking.

As someone who studies the area throughly and observes every screen-- I can confirm. This is correct.

I lurk in the doorway, not coming closer, in case she wants to see @SmilingPanda19 first.

Lily busied herself with papers and screens, but looked up and smiled as the two came in.

Lily nodded. "Right."

IT DID

"Mike," Lily muttered. "Shouldn't we let her see the two that are waiting outside?"

"Fine." I look directly at her. "Nice ceiling, huh?"

"The hospital," Lily smiled comfortingly. She raised the radio to her lips. "She's up, Mike."

"Hi," Lily said calmly, pulling off Stick's oxygen mask carefully. "How are you?" She pulled out her radio.

"You got it." Lily waved the nurses toward the exam room and clipped the radio onto her belt. Once they arrived, Lily hurried to get a clipboard and write down her notes. "You heard him. Keep her on oxygen." She waved to one the nurses. "Check her vitals again." I look around the room. "Nice ceiling, huh?"

"Yeah, same to you." I roll my eyes. "My mushroom could be dying, you know." Lily follows, jumping out of the ambulance and glancing at Mike for instruction. @Just-A-Stick

Lily nodded, getting out the medicine. I sit a few chairs down from her, pretending she doesn't exist.

Lily checks Stick's pulse for herself. "Damn, you're right. You still want her on those meds?"

"For now, he is quietly compiling with my 'requests.'" Kerst waved at a chair. "I'd like to keep it that way. Sit, please."

"Lord Roy," Kerst said delicately. "He wants to join us."

Kerst raised an eyebrow. "Tempting," he said dryly.
