"I-Isa." She swallowed. "Isabel. Miss Iris is a pretty name."

"What?" I say softly, frustrated. "I'm trying!"

I dare a glance at Stick but quickly look away. "yes."

A pause. "Isa?" She came to the phone. "H-hi?"

I stare at the floor. "If...if the child wills, I...will step down from...being a mamma. @SmilingPanda19 may have full custody...whatever @Just-A-Stick wants." I sit abruptly. "That's all."

"I didn't. My sister did."

"only if you make it one." I stand. "I have made a decision."

won't work, as I am already married to the child.

I run a hand through my hair impatiently.

A pause. "Jared." He forced out the name. It felt unnatural on his lips.

I smile passive aggressively at the court room. "Any other questions?"

Kerst snorts. "As well as can be expected. You?"

Conflict, I mouth at her. I'm sorry.

"I didn't call you." Jared took a long breath, seeming to listen to someone else. "You're right. I don't need...I can't have...help. You're right."

"She introduced me." I shoot a small smile at Stick and mime holding her hand, though she's too far away to actually accomplish this.

"Six months. Give or take."

I cross my arms and nod. "Carry on."

"Simply because she's the only one I trust to answer truthfully around here." *eyes @SmilingPanda19 distrustfully*

"Fine, I, however must bring to light that all offensive verbal slings have been presented by @SmilingPanda19 and I have attempted to respond peacefully. But when you bring the child into this..."

Silence. Jared stared at the ground. "Why would you want to..." She must want something.

I would like to call forth *drumroll* @Just-A-Stick *wiggles eyebrows triumphantly*

"I AGREE HOWEVER I HATH GIVEN MANY HUGS TO HER IN REAL LIFE" I glare at the judge defiantly.

I'VE KNOWN HER FOR MUCH LONGER THEN THE SUSPICIOUS PANDA FELLOW AND LEAVE THE CHILD OUT OF THIS
